THIS IS MY STORY
A proud life-long resident of Utica and advocate for young people. Reared in church, Delvin felt called to the service of others and helping his community. He is a compassionate young leader who understands the importance of unity and hope. Delvin holds a dual-Bachelors degree (with High Honors Distinction) in Religion and Political Science from the University of Rochester; a Master of Arts with distinction in Religion from Colgate University, being only the second African American to do so; and a Master of Sacred Theology from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Religion focusing on Afro-centric religiosity in the Americas.
He has been active in numerous organizations on various topics. From the NAACP to American-Isreal Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). He served as National Chairman of the National Black Action Committee, Northern Vice President of the New York State Young Democrats and is the State Treasurer of the Young Democrats of New York State.
